The Institute Of Fire & Safety Management (India) was established on the recommendations of the standing council constituted by the Times Educational and Charitable Trust of India
The affairs of the institution are managed by the executive council headed by the president consisting of 6 members. Director functions as Executive for running the affairs under the guidance of the Council and the President.
IFS is one of the well- established fire and safety training institutes in India. IFS is dedicated to cause of fire engineers and fire engineering professionals. The main aim behind the formation of the IFS is to give quality education to the students and make them eligible for a job at the end of their studies
